ulanda, josh + dakota

I met up with Ulanda, Josh and their sweet daughter Dakota at the Citadel as the sun was setting on a windy Sunday evening. We walked around the top of the Citadel and marveled at the view and wondered why we don’t take advantage of going up there more often. I imagine people who live in Paris rarely visit the Eiffel Tower and it’s probably the same idea (on a much smaller and less romantic scale).

Dakota is adorable. She has beautiful big blue eyes and a sly little smile and even though she’s not yet one, she’s an amazing walker! It was funny to watch her navigate the slopes and hills of the Citadel – she’s a determined little girl and would fall, roll and bounce right back up again. I couldn’t help but laugh. And speaking of laughs, Ulanda’s is the best, so warm and heartfelt. If only you could hear the warmth and love in her laughter as she snuggled her baby girl and walked hand in hand with her husband. She practically glows with love for her family and it was my honour to capture a few special moments so that when Dakota grows up, she’ll see what a very special and loved little girl she is.
