waiting for baby

Karen is like blueberry pie. Or jumping in puddles wearing bright red rain boots. Or a double-decker ice cream cone. That is to say she’s down-to-earth, fun and infinitely awesome. But she’s more than that. Her presence brings comfort and warmth like a hot cup of tea. She knows all the right things to say just when they need saying – whether it’s a quiet word of support or something silly to make you laugh. For these reasons, and countless others, I am so lucky to count her among my very best of friends.

And it’s for these reasons that I know Karen will make an incredible mommy. If there’s one more thing I can say about my friend, it’s that she dedicates herself fully to everything she tackles. It’s going to be an amazing journey, this adventure of motherhood, and I can not wait to watch the story of Karen and her new little family unfold.

Karen and Ryan: I’m so happy I could help capture this special time. Soon you’ll be sick of seeing me with my camera. It will be a photo shoot every time I visit… I can’t wait! xo.
